On-going local programs:

​American Legion Dalton, GA Auxiliary Girls State is a nonpartisan program that teaches young women responsible citizenship and love for God and Country. Since the inception of the Girls State program in 1937, nearly one million young people have had the opportunity to learn first-hand how their state and local government works.

Nursing Scholarship
-
School Projects: Observe Teacher Appreciation Day, donate to a school’s band or chorus group, and work with students in regards to veterans.

Fund raising projects: Fair Parking, Fifty-fifty Bingo at Post family meetings

Take breakfast food to veterans at the VA clinic in Chattanooga twice each month
-
Observe American Legion's birthday in March

Provide desserts monthly to the Dalton, GA Post's family meeting

Maintain a food pantry

Distribute poppies

Emergency assistance for veteran and/or family

Provide a love gift to a spouse member upon the death of a current Auxiliary member

Provide gifts to all known nursing home veterans at Christmas

Donate to USO

Honor the POW's

Support Wounded Warriors, Fisher House, and Department charities

Part of the Post’s Choir group.
